Course Evaluations for Dynamic Lighting - Realities, Practicalities, Potential
Back to Dynamic Lighting - Realities, Practicalities, Potential Back to Dynamic Lighting - Realities, Practicalities, PotentialSo definitely some questions that need to be rephrased here. The course is very specific that the 4 types of dynamic lighting are Tunable White, Tunable Color, Dim to Warm, and Biophilic Lighting. The first question wants you to say that Tunable White, Tunable RGB, and Circadian Lighting are all 3 types of dynamic lighting but that's not correct. Tunable Color can be RGBW, not just RGB - it should have said Tunable Color as an option. It's like asking what a 4-sided parallelogram with all 90 degree corners is called. The answer is not a square, it's a rectangle. And then Biophilic Lighting is also not the same as Circadian Lighting. Biophilic Lighting aims to replicate nature, whereas Circadian Lighting aims to regulate sleep patterns. They are not exactly the same thing. That is also why I disagree with Question 3. There are differences. Biophilic is more broad of a subject matter, whereas Circadian is more focused on the human body's sleep cycle. The course in general was ok, but it would have benefitted from video demonstrations, showing dynamically how the lighting types adjust within a space, to better understand the visual differences. It would have also been better if there were case studies, helping to illustrate where and how you might use the different types. Not sure how I can apply this course in practice.William G.

The course was clear. The questions did not seem to be universal, however.Deborah M.

I liked learning about the ability to control and synchronize the lighting effects of various fixtures through a unified system. This feature is particularly useful for creating cohesive and immersive lighting experiences within an architectural space.Jeff S.

The course was well organized and easy to follow - however, in your slides you say that there are 4 types of Dynamic lighting of which Tunable White was one. In question one, it asked which was considered to be a type of dynamic lighting to which only one answer was allowed - I selected tunable white and got the answer wrong. I think you need to check on that question.Stuart B.

I think questions 1, 2, and 5 should be reviewed. 1. Think 1 is just wrong. Tunable white is the only one of those that was mentioned as a type. There is no "Correct answer" given @ the end for review. Dim to cool was never discussed. 2. question 2s answer Lighting that moves through time and space makes no sense. 3. question 5. power conversion is not a component. its an action. The slide "mixing chamber, optics and lensing" ONLY indicated "Mixing Chamber" out of the answer options. which i believe is the correct answer.Jason B.
